Experience, skills, patience, those are the points that younger do not have. We can learn but we have more to teach, and if a place is unable to see that, that place is the wrong one!

What about if your work increases staff and client satisfaction rates and therefore retention? Is that still $$$?

    • @andylacivita

Focus on the retention number and if you know what the retention translates into in terms of more revenue for the company (that is the longer the customer stays the more income that is for the company) put that in too!

Employment implies there was a mutual _honest_ agreement, the employee can immediately tell you who precisely their employer is, a specific job description was presented, the option to accept/decline was present, coercion was absent, the managers/bosses are known and available, there is a complaint process and one can complain without fear of reprisal, the wage is at or above minimum for the region, the pay is weekly/bi-weekly, there is a paystub, whether paper or electronic showing hours worked, wages and deductions. In absence of these it isn't legitimate employment it's clearly a different situation, typically an illegal, immoral, unethical one.

There's no retrospective reason (or "plan") that HAD to happen "that way". There's just your response of what happens, and your appreciation of where you are vs. where you were.

Applying for a sales account executive at Fisher investments and I'm really worried! They said no experience needed and while I have no actual job experience in sales I run my own business which I feel confident is more than qualifying. I found your videos and I just have to say I really appreciate what you're doing, as someone who's young and never learned this important information I want to tell you you're making a huge difference for people. Once I can afford it I'll be a boot camper!

How i see it, for whatever reason is (you'll probably never know ) you didn't get the job. Bottom line, it wasn't meant to be so eff them its their loss. Nobody wants to be where they're not wanted. You go on a second and third interview only so they could take your feelings to the top and let them drop. After a few rejections learn to develop a callous over the feeling of rejection because that employer don't give a $hit!

A screening call I had today was the pits. All she wanted to know was the details of why I was not at my prior jobs. I tried my best redirects and asked to have time to ask a few questions, & she kept saying "we'll get to that..." Then said she was out of time. For a role and entity that I was so interested in, too. Disappointing day.

While I consistently deliver strong answers, any unexpected questions throws me off and prevent me to leave a lasting impression during the interview.

If in companies there is forbidden to communicate with managers, but only allows to communicate with coworkers? But coworkers are not your friends, who help you to find a new job.
